Apollo 11 moon landing platev
This special commemorative plate celebrates the landing of Apollo 11 on the Moon on July 20, 2969. In the center of the plate is an image of the Apollo 11 landing apparatus, with an American flag, and the words United States along the side. In the back left, there is an image of the Earth. One astronaut is standing on the Moon in the foreground and holding an instrument. A second astronaut is either ascending or descending from the landing apparatus. On a rim with thin blue and white lines, there is a banner at the top end that reads: UNITED STATES – OF AMERICA FIRST – ON THE MOON. There is a small circle with Apollo 11 and a picture of an eagle landing on the Moon below this banner. On the bottom rim of the plate, there is a banner with American flags on either end and the words THE 20’TH. OF JULY 1969 in the middle. It measures 7.75″ in diameter. In beautiful condition.
The back is marked in blue: crown symbol – Lund & Clausen – A/S – Copenhagen – Made in Denmark – Emil Fagerberg (signature).
